Wow! We began math today and did we have fun...we learned how to make the numbers 1, 2, 3 correctly, we practiced counting lots of different ways, and we learned a new game...Monster Squeeze. Look below to see us having so much fun and learning!

Another great day in first grade....check us out eating lunch!

First Day of First Grade

Today was a great day! We are learning each other's names and how to cooperate with each other. In fact, our first Social Studies lesson was on Cooperation. Ask the students what it means to cooperate!

Today we also got to have Mrs. Davenport come in and share a lesson with us. We were able to sing fun songs and move around. Lunch was a success although we had to have indoor recess on the first day of school. At least we were able to go to P.E. and blow off some steam. We were able to get outside at the end of the day, but not for very long. Hopefully tomorrow will allow us the MUCH NEEDED outdoor recess!!

I loved meeting all of you on Tuesday! I hope you liked our classroom and all of our great learning materials. Make sure to get lots of rest this weekend and a great night sleep on Monday night. Tuesday will be filled with fun, fun, fun!!!
